Block Storage

Your data stays even if the server is deleted, and capacity grows without downtime

Regions: tr-ist-01 (İstanbul) · tr-ank-01 (Ankara).

A volume attached to an instance and blocks written to synchronous replicas.

The volume attaches to the instance as a block device; the operating system sees it like a local disk.

Volume attachment and replication

Answer

What is Block Storage?

Block Storage is a persistent disk volume attached to a virtual server. You create it as needed and move it between servers.

Cost depends on provisioned volume capacity, usage duration, backup and data movement. Review the current estimate in the cost calculator.Calculate Cost

Live capacity and quota depend on the selected resource; service level terms are explained on the SLA page.

Features

Key Features

  1. Persistent storage independent of the server - data survives even if the server is deleted
  2. Create and expand volumes on demand
  3. Attach/detach volumes between servers
  4. Volume backup integration with the Backup service
  5. Per-minute billing based on used capacity

How it works

How the infrastructure works

Persistence and Flexibility

Block Storage volumes have a lifecycle independent of virtual servers. Even if you shut down and delete a server, your data on the volume is preserved and can be attached to another server. This eliminates the risk of data loss while reshaping your infrastructure.

Backup Integration

The PortvMind Cloud Backup service includes volume support: you can create and update backups of your block storage volumes and Kubernetes PVCs through the panel and track them with e-mail notifications.

Scenarios

Use Cases

  • Data disks for database servers
  • Persistent storage for application and log data
  • Backend for Kubernetes PVCs (Persistent Volume Claims)

Where is my data stored?

Your data is stored on PortvMind Cloud infrastructure located in Türkiye. The published regions are Istanbul (tr-ist-01) and Ankara (tr-ank-01).

How does pricing work?

PortvMind Cloud uses a pay-as-you-go model with per-minute billing. Total cost depends on resource type, selected configuration, storage, network and runtime. Current unit prices are in the console and at calculator.portvmind.com.

Which security and compliance standards does PortvMind Cloud hold?

Security, business-continuity and privacy certificates are issued to vMind Information Technologies. Current documents are on the vMind certificate page. KVKK and sector obligations are completed through your organisation’s own legal and security assessment.
