What a cookie is
Cookies are small text files placed on your device through your browser by the websites you visit. They contain information that can later be read by the web servers of the domain that sent them, and work like identity cards that show a site the same visitor has returned. Cookies do not contain personal data such as name, gender or address.
Web beacons, tags and scripts may be used together with cookies to count visitors, analyse usage and determine whether content was clicked.
